Ember & Oak opened its doors in 2018 with a simple vision: to bring wood-fired craftsmanship and coastal flavors to the heart of Cape Town.
Our kitchen is led by Head Chef Marcus van der Merwe, who trained under Michelin-starred chefs in London before returning home. His philosophy: source the finest local ingredients, treat them with respect, and let the flames do what they do best.
